Project Description

Bo Bech’s new restaurant, BoBe – a renovation and transformation of a historic restaurant in a listed building from 1731. The interior and bespoke furniture are designed by the architect duo Atelier Axo, comprised of Caroline Sillesen and Rose Hermansen.

In close collaboration with Atelier Axo and Bo Bech, we developed bespoke carpentry solutions for the restaurant. The project is characterised by the use of subdued colours and natural materials. The wood types used—oak and elm—create a harmonious blend of tones and warmth. A noteworthy detail is the reuse of J39 chairs, designed by Børge Mogensen and produced by Fredericia Furniture, which originated from a previous restaurant at the same address.

Scope of Work

Malte Gormsen Møbelsnedkeri crafted various custom interior solutions for the restaurant, including the cocktail bar in elm wood with a countertop in Bianco Carrara marble. All tables in the restaurant are made of oak, featuring round, square, and rectangular shapes. Additionally, we provided waiter stations with drawers in elm and oak shelving. In the basement sits a wine bar and storage cupboards in ash, along with a beer station in stone and oak.
