Restaurant 108

One of Noma’s Michelin star offsprings. It was located at Christianshavn in Copenhagen.

Client: Restaurant 108
Location: Copenhagen, DK
Architect: Space Copenhagen

Project overview

108 served seasonal food and was collaborating with regional farmers. At Malte Gormsen, we worked in close collaboration with the architect, Space Copenhagen, to ensure that everything from materiality to the custom-made furniture met the vision of 108.

This included both the drop-in coffee and wine bar as well as the restaurant, where some of the furniture such as the bar stools, benches and tables, were crafted by the cabinetmakers at our workshop.

Scope of work

Wine fridge, blackened steel cabinets, bespoke cabinets for cutlery, plates and glassware, cabinet with integrated ice bucket, coffee and wine bar with bar top in zinc, and wall mouldings.

Furniture includes custom-made barstools, benches and tables. Barstools and benches are now part of the curated Malte Gormsen Collection.
