A Royal Experience: Her Majesty tested our MG107 Lounge Chair, featured in the latest issue of Mester magazine.
We are proud to share that Her Majesty, Queen Mary, had the opportunity to try out our MG107 Lounge Chair during her visit to the “Carpentry Craft” exhibition at Moltke’s Palæ, as part of this year’s 3daysofdesign festival. This memorable occasion was also highlighted in the latest issue of Mester magazine.
The exhibition, hosted by Københavns Snedkerlaug (Copenhagen Carpentry Guild), showcased exceptional craftsmanship by local artisans. A centerpiece of the exhibit was a beautifully crafted table, designed with input from Queen Mary herself, in collaboration with the Royal Cabinetmakers’ workshop. This collaboration is a celebration of Danish craftsmanship, combining traditional expertise with modern design.
Malte Gormsen, Vice Chairman of Københavns Snedkerlaug and founder of Malte Gormsen, had the privilege of presenting the MG107 Lounge Chair to the Queen. Designed by Space Copenhagen, the chair exemplifies the timeless elegance and craftsmanship that Danish design is renowned for.
We are truly grateful for the Queen’s interest in Danish craftsmanship and for her involvement in highlighting the importance of preserving our artisanal traditions.
A special thanks to Håndværkerforeningen København and Mester magazine for featuring this moment and for their continued focus on promoting Danish craftsmanship.
