MG107 | Lounge chair – Wide armrest

MG107 is an elegant lounge chair, and this variant features the wide armrest from our MG112 and MG113 sofas. The chair is designed by Space Copenhagen. It is crafted at our workshop in Herlev, where most components are worked by hand. The seat and back are hand-woven in paper cord, giving the chair both comfort and durability.

MG107 is part of the Sankt Annae Series.

The name is taken from the Copenhagen district of Skt. Annæ, where the series was conceived, and it carries the mark of a meeting between tradition and the present day. At the same time, the design draws on Space Copenhagen’s experience in Japan, where lightness and permanence, simplicity and presence, come together as one.

The approach to the furniture is simple and straightforward: structure and material speak for themselves. Every part has a function, and every detail follows logically from the construction. The forms are restrained yet generous – familiar, yet difficult to place within any one tradition.

The furniture is crafted from solid wood, with seat and back woven in paper cord. Together, the materials create a tactile expression of warmth, durability and craftsmanship.
